JRF, Jerash Co. Cooperation Agreement to Empower 100 Beneficiaries
AMMAN – The Jordan River Foundation (JRF) has signed a cooperation agreement with Jerash Clothing & Fashion Co. offering job opportunities for 100 JRF beneficiaries as part of the foundation’s job matching and workforce readiness activities.
The event included a field visit to the company’s factory by JRF’s Director General Enaam Barrishi and Jerash Co. GM Eric Tang. Twenty one women have been employed so far as part of the “Empowering Livelihoods through Mentorship and Revenue Alternatives” project, funded by UNHCR and implemented by JRF.
The project aims to empower Jordanians and Syrian refugees across host communities in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa, Mafraq, and Aqaba by supporting micro businesses and offering training in workforce readiness and employability skills.
